HiSLAC Chief Investigator wins IC prize
Julian Bion, HiSLAC Chief Investigator and Professor of Intensive Care (IC) Medicine at the University of Birmingham, has been awarded the Intensive Care Society (ICS) President's Award.
Julian received the award for his “absolutely outstanding contribution to IC medicine internationally, and the development of the specialty in the United Kingdom”. In particular, the award recognises Julian’s role as the first dean of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, the professional body responsible for the training, assessment, practice and continuing professional development of IC medicine consultants in the UK.
The ICS is the representative body in the UK for IC professionals and patients.
